Yes. NewsGamer is free to download from the App Store and free to play.
How do you play NewsGamer?
Each round shows a short news paragraph and a letter. Tap every word in the paragraph that starts with that letter. In multiplayer, the first player to find 10 words wins; in single player you race to finish the paragraph.
Can I play on Android or in a web browser?
Games are played in the NewsGamer app for iPhone. On newsgamer.in you can sign in to see the leaderboard, your profile, the store and the results of past games.
Does NewsGamer help with English vocabulary?
Yes. Every game is a reading exercise, and you can long-press any word to save it to your vocabulary list with its meaning and pronunciation. A word of the day arrives every morning.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Create a multiplayer game in the app and invite friends, or join a game someone else has started. You can also chat with other players.
How are points calculated?
In multiplayer you earn more points the more words you find and the higher you finish, and you can lose points for a weak finish. A single-player win earns 4 points. Points decide your place on the leaderboard.
